Our Wedding

Connor and Megan's love story began in the backyard of the TKE at USC in September 2015, where a chance encounter at a frat party led to a magical moment, a fateful first kiss and a lingering hand-hold on their way to the first football game of the season—a moment that would forever change their lives. From then on, throughout college, they truly experienced everything together from late-night studying for Marshall business classes to Theta and TKE invites to the many in-between moments like cooking college-fancy meals in the TKE kitchen, exploring LA together, and watching Chopped after late nights out debating what they would do with the ingredients if they were on the show.

Even as life post-grad life took them in different directions, with Megan jet-setting every week for Accenture to Seattle, San Diego, DC, and more, and Connor pursuing his own path in Private Equity in Manhattan Beach, their connection remained unwavering - making it a point to spend quality time together even when only in the same city for 24 hours. When COVID hit in March 2020, although Megan and Connor were eating their way through Mexico City when the world went into lockdown, they made the decision to move in together temporarily in Redondo Beach and fell even more in love with each other every day. They enjoyed making home-cooked meals with Max and Mischelynn, learning TikTok dances, picking up knitting and watercoloring, taking long walks in Palos Verdes, and just the uninterrupted time together. Loving living together so much, they went on the hunt for the perfect place, and when Connor's lease was up in January 2021, and made a home together in sunny Santa Monica, surrounded by lifelong friends and just a short drive away from each and every member of the Martin, Smith, and Scarlatelli family.

Connor proposed on a memorable Thursday night, February 23rd of 2023, following an intimate dinner at Uovo in the heart of Santa Monica. Little did Megan know that this proposal had been in the making for five months, with Connor seeking permission from Misch and Max back in September 2022, strategically timing his ask as an errand for Megan before a girls' trip to Austin, TX.

As they enjoyed their dinner at the restaurant, back at their apartment, their friends Avery and Mary had worked their magic, transforming the space into a romantic haven adorned with rose petals and flickering candles. Earlier in the day, Megan had a hunch, playfully mentioning to Connor, "Do you want to know something funny? I told my friends I thought you were going to propose today." During dinner, she even sent a text to her mom: "No ring yet". Connor had advised Megan not to dress up for dinner, leading her to sport a casual ensemble of leggings and Uggs, sans makeup. Little did she anticipate the unforgettable moment when he knelt down on one knee, an overflow of joy sweeping over her as she responded with an immediate and resounding "What?! Yes!"

Now, with over eight incredible years of shared memories and adventures, Connor and Megan are thrilled to embark on the next chapter of their lives. They can't wait to celebrate their love with all of you, knowing that 2024 promises to be their favorite year yet.
